It is a vast country, covering more than 318,000 square miles but has a population of only 1.8 Million inhabitants, making it the most sparsely populated country in the world, thus offering huge areas of unspoilt and untapped nature.
Although often referred to as being a desert country, Namibia's central and western part is an arid to semi-arid desert to semi-desert. This however changes over to huge areas of fruitable Bushland Savanna, especially in the northern areas of the country, with the Kavango and Caprivi tribal areas being referred to as semi tropical.
For the last 15 Years we have been building up game stock on our 6 000 ha game farm.
Khan River was originally a cattle farm but was converted to a game farm and tourist destination a few years ago. All internal fences were removed allowing the game to roam freely. Due to the large game populations and proper game management methods Khan River is now and will remain to be in a position to offer our hunters only the top quality trophies in the area.
Our goal is to offer our guests an unforgetable, down-to-earth Namibian experience with a personal touch.
